About Dave Moore
Whether you’re new to the area, new to cottages, looking for an additional income property, or looking to sell, Dave is a knowledgeable and energetic local guide. He will focus your search, help you make an informed decision, and introduce a little fun along the way.
Dave has deep roots in the region. He grew up on Wollaston Lake in Coe Hill, a fourth generation Moore in a home built by his great-grandfather, and attended North Hastings High School. A local history buff, he can share how the communities have evolved and direct you to their hidden gems, from the winding back roads to the scenic lookouts.
An outdoor enthusiast, Dave has spent countless hours exploring the area, fishing for pickerel and trout, and on snowmobiles, dirt bikes and trails. That lifetime of experience provides a wealth of knowledge of the geography, landmarks, and wildlife. His time as an aircraft pilot and flight instructor gives him excellent navigational skills of the local landscape. He knows which lakes are deep, which are glorified ponds, and can walk you through the benefits and drawbacks of the unique choices in this market. He can direct you to little-known fishing holes, and explain how the snowmobile trail networks connect come winter. He will even share lessons learned from his own maple syrup production.
With down-to-earth sensibility, Dave asks the right questions to learn your requirements and wishes, and helps you maximize your buying dollars. If you’re listing, you can count on Dave to sell not only your property, but the local community too.
As a veteran firefighter, Dave knows safety and structural integrity, and also understands what it takes to convert a cottage to a four-season home; what accessibility considerations to keep in mind; and all the ins and outs of living more remotely. In fact, Dave can sell your property or represent you as a buyer in the most remote of properties using his off-road jeep, snowmobile, or boat.
For Dave, customer service is paramount. He is an AirBnB “Superhost” from managing multiple income properties on Wollaston Lake, and will talk your ear off about what kind of marketing and care they need to be successful. He openly shares contacts for reputable contractors he’s tried and tested, everything from electricians and plumbers to aggregate suppliers and septic installers.
An approachable and experienced straight-shooter, Dave looks forward to introducing you to cottage country properties in Bancroft and beyond.
